Britt lectures Feb. 13-15

"Words of Fire, Spirit of Grace" will be the theme of the 25th annual Britt Lecture Series Feb. 13 to 15 at First United Methodist Church, 1020 S. Beretania St.

The lecturer is the Rev. Grace Imathiu, who studied in Kenya, Israel and the United States, as well as at Cambridge University in England.

She is writing her dissertation on the New Testament at Vanderbilt University.

The hourlong lectures at 7:30 p.m. will be preceded by a 7 p.m. service, and followed by refreshments and question-and-answer sessions.

Also, Imathiu will conduct a workshop at 9 a.m. Feb. 16.

All lectures are free.

Free parking is available at the church's underground lot (enter on Victoria Street), and free childcare will be provided to those who call in advance.
