Associated Press

Second-seeded Dimitry Tursunov of Russia dispatched American Alex Kim, 6-1, 6-1, yesterday at the Hilton Waikoloa Village USTA Challenger on the Big Island.

The men's Nos. 1, 3 and 4 seeds have all been ousted.

Yesterday, American Cecil Mamit beat No. 3 and fellow American Paul Goldstein, 1-6, 6-3, 6-4; and Bobby Reynolds of United States beat No. 4 Tomas Behrend of Germany, 6-3, 6-4.

On Tuesday, Brian Vahaly, the No. 1 seed, fell to Yen Hsun Lu, 6-2, 6-0.

In the women's draw yesterday, No. 3 Ansley Cargill of the United States beat former University of Tennessee standout Vilmarie Castellvi, 2-6, 6-4, 6-3.

No. 2 seed Tara Snyder withdrew yesterday because of a stomach virus.

Selima Sfar replaced Snyder and lost to Francesca Lubiani of Italy, 6-1, 6-7 (5), 6-2.
