DISPATCHES FROM KUWAIT
A postcard home

Advertiser photographer Richard Ambo and staff writer William Cole are traveling with the 2nd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division (Light) into Iraq.

They will be sending home regular messages from the troops.

CPL. MARIKO YADAO

Age 20, Kaua'i, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division (Light).

To my family, I love you guys, and I'll be home soon. Kuwait has been an experience. Two different camps and I've only been here for two days. Iraq is coming up soon, but I'm sure it will prove to be more advantageous than detrimental to my life. So don't worry about me. I'll be fine. My family and friends have given me the strength to be my own person, and I've always believed in me.
