Alicia Keys show on Aug. 7 here

Grammy-winning R&B vocalist Alicia Keys will return to Honolulu for an Aug. 7 show at Neal Blaisdell Arena. Be prepared to break out the checkbooks if you want to see her.

The last time she performed here, in December 2001 at what was then World Café, Keys was riding serious music industry buzz for her accomplished debut CD "Songs in A Minor" and its hit ballad "Fallin'." Tickets — all priced at $15 — sold out in days. Now a five-time Grammy winner and owner of a second chart-topping CD "The Diary of Alicia Keys," she is asking $50 and $85 for tickets to her 7 p.m. arena show.
