JERRY CHANG of Wai'alae Iki, a peace advocate and a former U.N. representative in Paraguay, died June 24 in California. He was 77. See story.

PEDRO VALDEZ BADUA, 93, of Honolulu, died May 30, 2004. Born in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. A copper smith retired from Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. Survived by wife, Feliza; daughters, Philamer Ichikawa, Carolyn Tatsuyama, Eleanor Gorospe and Valerie Au; five grandchildren; brothers, Seponias, Angel and Lino. Visitation 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa; service 7 p.m. Visitation also 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday; Mass 9:30 a.m. Burial 11 a.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park.

ROBERT KENICHI FUKUMOTO, 76, of Honolulu, died June 12, 2004. Born in Honolulu. A warehouse supervisor retired from Alakai Mechanical Plumbing.
