What's open and closed on Independence Day

Here's what's open and closed on the Independence Day holiday, tomorrow:

• Government: Federal, state and city offices closed.

• Mail: All post offices closed. No regular residential or business delivery or pickup. No pickup from (blue) collection boxes. Express Mail delivered.

• Libraries: All closed Sunday; 41 of 50 libraries closed Monday. (Check with the appropriate library.)

• TheBus: Holiday schedule. More information at 848-5555 or www.thebus.org.

• Handi-Vans: Operating, 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

• On-street parking: Free, except for Kalakaua Avenue metered stalls along Kapi'olani Park. Holiday towaway zone parking as permitted by sign. Municipal lots must be fed.

• Traffic: No coning.

• Trash: Regular residential and business rubbish pickups.

• Refuse convenience centers: Open.

• Open markets: Not operating.

• Attractions: Municipal golf courses, botanical gardens and Honolulu Zoo open.
