• Former Philippines President Corazon Aquino will be the guest of honor at "An International Affair," the annual dinner of the East-West Center Foundation, scheduled for July 14 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Coral Ballroom. Aquino, whose 1986-92 term began 2y´ years after the assassination of her husband, Benigno Aquino, will receive the center's Asia Pacific Community Building Award. The award recognizes her achievements at the helm of a democratic revolution ending the rule of Ferdinand Marcos. The event begins with a 6 p.m. silent auction, followed by 7 p.m. dinner and program.
