• 'Olelo Community Television's chief operating officer, KEALI'I SEGOOL LOPEZ, has been named president and chief executive officer of the O'ahu community-access television station. She served as 'Olelo's associate executive director for eight years before becoming chief operating officer. Lopez also has managed The Kamehameha Schools' distance learning project, and is past director of community programming for Oceanic Cable.

• Three telecommunications industry veterans have been named to senior management posts at Verizon Hawaii:

DERRICK UYEDA is now director of customer operations and construction. He will oversee operations for construction, installation and maintenance, customer engineering and customer and business operations. OSCAR LIBED has been named manager of customer operations and construction for the Big Island. His responsibilities will include oversight of installation, maintenance and construction of Verizon telecommunications network on the island. WINSLOW TANABE is the new manager of Verizon customer operations and construction for Maui and Kaua'i.

CARL SEYFER, formerly president of Kalu Glass Co., has been named chairman of the board. Al Linton, previously vice president, has assumed the titles of president/ chief executive officer and corporate board member.

• State Attorney General MARK BENNETT has been named chairman of the Antitrust Committee of the National Association of Attorneys General. He replaces New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer. The committee works toward enforcement of state and multi-state antitrust law enforcement and information exchange, training and education.

• Hula Grill Waikiki has announced its new executive team. The restaurant in the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach hotel is ownedand operated by Maui-based T S Restaurants, parent company of seven restaurants statewide, including Duke's. CHRIS COLGATE has been named senior general manager; Derek Kessler has been named general manager; and MARK KOWALKOWSKI has been named executive chef.

MARK HECKMAN has been promoted to director of education at the Waikiki Aquarium.
