Second liner due in July '05

Norwegian Cruise Line's second U.S.-flagged ship, the Pride of America, is scheduled to be delivered June 6, 2005, and arrive in Hawai'i to begin interisland cruises in July, according to NCL's chief executive

The Pride of America will join NCL's Pride of Aloha, which began operating in Hawai'i last month. A third ship, to be called the Pride of Hawai'i, will arrive in summer 2006 to make up the full U.S.-flagged fleet in Hawai'i.



'Lemon law' complaints drop

Consumer complaints under the state's "lemon law" covering new autos dropped to 59 last year compared with 66 in 2002, according to the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs.

At the same time, the value of refunds rose to $879,634 in 2003, versus $604,797 the prior year. The law helps consumers who buy or lease new motor vehicles and have repeated problems getting them repaired under warranty.



E-ticket good for both airlines

Hawaiian Airlines has added Continental Airlines as an electronic ticketing partner, which is expected to result in faster and more convenient travel connections between the two carriers.

Mutual customers of Hawaian and Continental are now able to purchase a single electronic ticket and check in only once for itineraries involving connections between the airlines. E-ticket holders previously had to stand in line and convert to a paper ticket when making the connection.
