Dell investment arm buys resort

Advertiser Staff

Dell Inc. Chairman and Chief Executive Michael Dell's investment firm has completed a deal to buy the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea in Hawaii. The purchase is part of the firm's plan to spend more than $1 billion on real estate.

Dell's MSD Capital LP was asked by the seller, SCP (Maui 5) Inc., not to disclose the price of the 377-room hotel, MSD spokesman Todd Fogarty said. The hotel, completed in 1990 and managed by Four Seasons Hotels Inc., sits on 15 oceanfront acres and is home to Ferraro's, Spago and Pacific Grill restaurants.
