No Keys concert
Sorry, Alicia Keys fans, that just-announced August concert at the Blaisdell Arena is no more, with no formal cancellation notice given.
Pottery on the beach
The Hawai'i Craftsmen arts organization offers its 28th annual Raku Ho'olaule'a next month. Among the highlights: the community kiln at Kualoa Regional Park, at which anyone can glaze a bowl ($5 each), which potters will fire on site. Think of it as almost-immediate gratification. It happens 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Aug. 7. Raku is a traditional Japanese technique of firing pottery.
Tea time
The Honolulu Academy of Arts will present a "Tea and Tour" program, 2:30-4 p.m. Tuesdays in selected galleries, in July and August. The tea event is free with regular admission, though donations for beverages will be welcome. Reservations recommended: 532-8726.
Kikaida vs. Hakaida
Are you "Kikaida" fans keeping track? Well, the eighth volume of a nine-volume DVD series will hit the shelves Tuesday. This one features the debut of Japanese superhero Kikaida's arch enemy, Hakaida.
