• Federal Judge David Ezra sentenced a former liquor inspector on Monday for his role in a bribery and racketeering scheme. Ezra's name was incorrect in a Local News story posted yesterday.

• A Local News story and graphic posted Sunday on electricity use in Hawai'i used an incorrect figure for the average O'ahu residential electric bill in June 2004. The correct figure for 685 kilowatt-hours is $105.23. The effective rate per kilowatt hour for O'ahu is $0.1536 per kilowatt hour. The Advertiser will run a follow-up story on electric utility rates in Sunday's edition.

• The U.S. median household income in 2004 was $42,764, nearly $1,100 less than four years ago when adjusted for inflation, according to economic consulting firm Economy.com. In 20 battleground states where the presidential campaign is expected to be most heavily contested, median incomes are up in four and down in 11 since 2000. Economy.com provided incorrect data for a Business story and graphic that ran on July 5.
