2 arrested as shooting suspects

Two men were arrested in Wai'anae yesterday on suspicion of shooting at a man who had confronted them about the theft of an air compressor. The men, ages 32 and 47, were were both booked on firearm offenses and second-degree theft.

The younger man was also booked on first-degree reckless endangering and first-degree terroristic threatening.

The victim, a 34-year-old man, was not injured. Police recovered an pistol and air compressor.

Man charged in Kahuku stabbing

A 29-year-old man was charged today with second-degree assault in connection with a stabbing Friday night in Kahuku.

Travis Ezra Burnett is accused of stabbing another man, 19, in the arm during an argument over a woman, police said. Burnett's bail is $50,000.
