Women's group selects six scholars
The Honolulu Chapter of Executive Women International has announced the recipients of the 2004 Executive Women International Scholarship Program awards. They are: Ivy Lee of Iolani School; Ross Pascual of Saint Louis School; Krystle Corpuz of Kahuku High School; Marie Pineda of Sacred Hearts Academy, Angelique Cercillieux of Kaiser High School and Frannie Leung of Moanalua High School.
Honolulu FCU picks scholars
The Honolulu Federal Credit Union has announced the following scholarship recipients: Janelle Mekaru of Moanalua High School, Elliott Inamasu of Iolani School, Aaron Augustin of Saint Louis School, Beverly Clemente of Sacred Hearts Academy and Nathan Lowry of the University of Washington School of Medicine.
Legislator awards six scholarships
The following students received scholarship awards from state Sen. Donna Mercado Kim: Aisha Goshi-Otaguro of 'Aiea High School; Ma Santos of Farrington High School; Wallace Coleman of Moanalua High School; Lindsey Keliiaa-Fernandez of 'Aiea Intermediate School; Katrina Spinola of Dole Middle School and Ashley Meredith of Moanalua Middle School.
Seven Island students national winners Discover Card has awarded more than $1 million in scholarships to high school juniors across the nation. Among the Hawai'i recipients are Kayla Sakimoto and Katherine Jensen, La Pietra-Hawaii School for Girls; Kelcie Kawamura, Kaua'i High School; April Alvarez, Kahuku High School; Grace Kwan, 'Aiea High School; Kellie Holliday, Lahainaluna High School; and May-Ling Bonner, Kea'au High School.
McDonald's recipients named
McDonald's Restaurants of Hawai'i recently recognized 10 of its employees' academic achievements with its annual employee scholarships. They are: Elsa Batangan, Farrington High School; Larraine Baxa, Leilehua High School; Ofelia Bumanglag and Jeanette Padilla, Campbell High School; Ferico Cabrera and Tanya Rivera, Waipahu High School; Melissa Char and Kristie Komori, Moanalua High School; Michael Dannemiller, Punahou School; and Ciera Haney-Agor, St. Francis School.
