Good start for Baldwin's Suzuki

Maui's Kurt Suzuki is off to a good start in his professional baseball debut with the Vancouver Canadians.

The Baldwin High alum went 4 for 11 in his first three Northwest League games, including 2 for 4 with a double, on Sunday.

Suzuki, who helped Cal State Fullerton to the College World Series title last month, was a second-round draft pick by Oakland. After signing, he was assigned to the A's rookie league team in Vancouver.
