Here's a look at some action in Congress last week.

KEY HOUSE VOTES

1. Vietnam aid

The House on Monday passed, 323-45, a bill that would restrict U.S. aid to Vietnam unless the country improves its human-rights record. A yea vote was to pass the bill.

    Ed Case (D) NAY

2. Stock options

The House on Tuesday passed, 312-111, a bill that would block a rule requiring companies to count stock options against their profits. A yea vote was to pass the bill.

3. District of Columbia

The House on Tuesday passed, 371-54, a bill that would provide $560 million in fiscal 2005 for the District of Columbia. A yea vote was to pass the bill.

4. Gay marriage

The House on Thursday passed, 233-194, a bill that would prevent federal courts from ordering states to recognize gay marriages sanctioned by other states. A yea vote was to pass the bill.

5. Morocco free trade

The House voted 323-99 Thursday for a free trade deal with Morocco, eliminating tariffs on most goods.

KEY SENATE VOTES

1. Myers nomination

The Senate on Tuesday failed, 53-44, to close debate on the nomination of William Myers III to the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, which hears cases for most Western states. Sixty votes were needed.
