'Ukulele festival attracts crowd at Kapi'olani Park

The Twinklers, a group of beginning 'ukulele players, performed for a large crowd of parents and other admirers at the 34th annual 'Ukulele Festival yesterday at the Kapi'olani Park bandstand.

Above: Kasi Onaga, 11, of Waipahu played with Roy Sakuma's 800-piece 'ukulele band at yesterday's free event. Also performing were Herb "Ohta-san" Ohta, the Keale 'Ohana, 'Uluwehi Guerrero, Troy Fernandez and Rocky Brown. Grammy Awardi winning vocalist James Ingram was the special guest.
