Baseball hitting coach to leave UH

University of Hawai'i hitting coach Brian Green has accepted an assistant coaching position with UCLA, the Los Angeles school announced today.Green, 32, who has been with UH coach Mike Trapasso the past two seasons, could not be reached. Trapasso is with Team USA in Taipei and could not be reached either. Before Green came to UH, he was an assistant at the University of San Diego.
Green will join new UCLA coach John Savage's staff. Savage was hired July 1. He was the coach at UC Irvine.
