The world of journalism has lost a foreign correspondent from the old school. ROBERT C. MILLER, who covered five wars for United Press International and led the wire service's Honolulu bureau for many years, died yesterday at his home in Hilo. He was 89. See story.

E. CHIPMAN HIGGINS, a retired Navy officer who also worked on the development of alternative energy with Hawaiian Electric Co., died Sunday. He was 79. See story.

Funeral services for MARSHALL M. GOODSILL, a nationally recognized attorney in corporate securities and tax law who practiced in Hawai'i for more than five decades, will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Central Union Church. Goodsill, who died July 24, was 87. See story.
