Rochester (N.Y.) Democrat and Chronicle
From Hawai'i to Maine to former Ryder Cup courses and a public track in Nebraska where the smell from a nearby pig farm was so bad it was hard to yell "Fore!" Dave Clark has seen it all.
This week, the Pittsford, N.Y., resident plans to complete a golfing odyssey that began in 1979 in Iowa. During a trip through the Pacific Northwest, Clark plans to play two courses in Oregon and another in Washington
After that trip, he will have played golf in all 50 states. He's played on 365 different courses and in five other countries Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and Wales.
While visiting Hawai'i, Clark, 67, played at Kaua'i's Princeville Resort.
