Advertiser Staff

The owner of office supply stores Hopaco and OfficeMax, Boise Cascade, said its planned trade name change to OfficeMax Inc. will not eliminate the Hopaco brand in Hawai'i.

"We recognize the value of the Hopaco name with our business-to-business customers," said OfficeMax spokesman Bill Bonner. Boise Cascade bought OfficeMax last year, and announced the name change yesterday as part of a deal to sell its paper and timber businesses to a Chicago-based buyout firm.

Few Camrys here in recall

Toyota dealers in Hawai'i said yesterday that a recall of 2002 to 2004 Toyota Camrys made in North America does not affect most Toyota owners in Hawai'i. All Toyota Camrys sold by Hawai'i dealers are made in Japan, said Toyota-Hawaii, a division of Servco Pacific, in a news release yesterday.

Owners who know or suspect their Camry was built in the United States can take it to any Toyota dealer in Hawai'i to have it checked and repaired at no cost, the release said.

Hawaiian also recorded a year-to-date load factor of 84.1 percent, the best among all carriers. The airline's scheduled service improved in all traffic categories: passengers carried, revenue passenger miles, available seat miles and load factor.
