Mark jury resumes deliberations today

Mark was convicted of murdering officer Glen Gaspar in the first trial last year, but the jury in that case could not reach a verdict on whether he tried to kill Gaspar's companion Calvin Sung and the other man in the parking lot. The jury received the case Tuesday afternoon and deliberated yesterday before going home.
A Circuit Court jury will resume deliberations today in the retrial of Shane Mark, charged with trying to kill a plainclothes police officer at an ice cream parlor at the Kapolei Shopping Center on March 4, 2003, and another man at a church parking lot a month earlier.
