June 22 lottery set for condo

Developers of the planned twin-tower residential condominium Moana Pacific on Kapi'olani Boulevard between Pi'ikoi and Pensacola streets have scheduled a lottery drawing to buy units in the second tower on June 22.

Lottery applications will be accepted until 6 p.m. on June 19. Selection of units by lottery winners will be June 26.

The first of the two 353-unit towers sold out over seven weeks, developer KC Rainbow Development LLC said. Construction is expected to start later this year. More information is available at www.moanapacifichawaii.com.



State's average gas price $2.36

The average price for regular gasoline statewide rose nearly 2 cents to $2.36 a gallon, according to a survey released yesterday by AAA travel club.

The average for regular is now nearly 20 cents a gallon higher than a month ago.

In Honolulu, Wailuku, Maui, and Hilo, Hawai'i, the average for regular remained just below record levels.
