Charity to use money for truck

Angel Network Charities, Inc., a homeless service provider, was awarded a $10,000 grant from the Atherton Family Foundation. The grant will help the agency to purchase a flatbed truck for donations pick-up.


Fellows earn $10,000 grant

More than 25 members of Rebekah Lodge Independent Order of Odd Fellows contributed more than 100 hours of community service to the Hawaii Food Bank and earned $10,000 from The Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Foundation through their Weinberg Friends Program for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Hawaii.


Two donors give to Red Cross

The Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Foundation donated $50,000 to the Hawaii State Chapter of the American Red Cross toward disaster services for residents.

The Atherton Family Foundation donated $48,000 to the Red Cross for hardware, software and training for the financial development team including staff and volunteers.

In the past year, the Hawaii Red Cross responded to 152 disasters, providing support to those affected by tragic events.
