Now, she officially has been recognized as one of the league's best basketball players, as well.
Miyashiro, a junior forward for Kalani, was named OIA East Division II Player of the Year in a vote of league coaches.
She averaged 12 points per game, including a 22-point performance in a victory over Kailua, and led the Falcons to a runner-up finish in Division II.
Miyashiro was a first-team Advertiser All-State selection in volleyball last season.
She is joined on the OIA East Division II All-Star first team by junior teammate Richline Batoon and three players from Roosevelt: juniors Chelsie Kadota and Nicole Yoshimoto and sophomore Tati Beasley.
Roosevelt's Bobby Keanini was named Coach of the Year. The Rough Riders were the only OIA team to defeat Kahuku.
