Hawaiian seeks to pay bonuses

Hawaiian Airlines trustee Josh Gotbaum asked the bankruptcy court to approve $3 million in bonus payments for about 80 managers based on their performance last year, the company said yesterday. Hawaiian reported operating profits in each of the past 14 months.
Gotbaum said not everyone has shared in the carrier's gains. "Union employees and noncontract employees have already received more than $7 million in profit sharing, and they deserve it. But the leaders responsible for the changes that have put Hawaiian on a new, successful course have gotten nothing."
