TRINIDAD ALCONCEL, 88, of Honolulu, died June 17, 2004. Born in Caoayan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. Former Philippine ambassador to Argentina and Jurisdiction over Uruguay and Paraguay. WALLACE A. BROWNLIE, 90, formerly of Kailua, died May 28, 2004. Born in Whittier, Calif. A retired U.S. Navy aviation officer and retired civil and hydraulic engineer with the U.S. Geological Survey, Hawaii District Office. Survived by wife, Idell; sons, Richard and Michael; sisters, Lois Fisher, Reba Mattson, Dorothy Grant and Lori Hnatovic; two grandchildren. Memorial service and burial held in El Cerrito, Calif.

DR. WILLIAM THOMAS CARSE, 89, of Kailua, Kona, Hawai'i, died June 20, 2004. Born in Foster, Neb. A retired professor at the University of Hawai'i-Hilo. Survived by wife, Dorothy; sons, David, Charles and John; two grandchildren. Private service to be held. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary, Kona.

ELIZABETH "TUTU MAMA" NALANI ELLIS, 100, of Honolulu, died June 15, 2004. Born in Pa'auhau, Hawai'i. An educator in Hawai'i's public schools for more than 40 years and one of the original participants in the Department of Education kupuna program.
