Community fund-raiser KO MIYATAKI has been named to her second term as president of the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific Foundation. In the interim, the Big Island native had served as director of development for The Kamehameha Schools' Ke Ali'i Pauahi Foundation. Her career also has included four years working for the University of Hawai'i Foundation.

• DONN A. SOARES has been promoted to vice president of Kauai Coffee Co. Inc. Soares joined the company in 1996 as manager, eastern sales. In March, he was promoted to general manager for all operating and marketing functions, a position he will retain with his promotion. The Alexander & Baldwin subsidiary produces 60 percent of Hawai'i's coffee — over 3.3 million pounds last year — on its 3,400-acre estate stretching from Koloa to 'Ele'ele.

• LISA LEE-ALDERMAN has joined Hawaii Commercial Real Estate LLC as an office-building leasing and sales specialist. In addition to negotiating leases for office-building tenants and assisting buyers and sellers of investment properties, Lee-Alderman will be responsible for the firm's newest for-lease listing, ANA Kalakaua Center.

• SHARON OSBORNE has been named president and chief executive officer of the Consuelo Foundation, based in Honolulu. Osborne, who will begin the job in January 2005, is president and chief executive officer of the Children's Home Society of Washington state. Osborne replaces PATTI LYONS, who is retiring.

The Consuelo Foundation operates and supports more than 70 programs in Hawai'i and the Philippines, primarily to assist children, women and families who are at risk for abuse.

• PAUL KLINK has been promoted to chairman of Aloha Direct Mail Marketing Inc., continuing his operational duties of chief executive officer and new business development director. The company is a direct-mail marketing, database and Internet service organization, with headquarters at 1132 Bishop St. Klink has also served as president and chief executive officer of the company.

• SHERMAN HEE has been named president of the board of directors of The Institute for Human Services Inc., a local homeless shelter. He replaces PATRICK K.S.L. YIM, who continues as a board member. Also elected to the board of directors are ANN BOTTICELLI, vice president of Communications Pacific; MICHAEL S. CHU, self-employed at LP&D Hawaii, Land Planning and Site Design, Landscape Architecture; MELANIE HOLT, Commission on Native Hawaiian Ministries board member; The Rev. LAUREN BUCK MEDEIROS, Punahou School chaplain; THERESIA CANCIO McMURDO, The Estate of James Campbell public relations manager; FRANK B. SMITH, owner/president of Aloha Resources Inc. and MARY A. WEISMAN, Bank of Hawaii executive vice president.
