ELEANOR ROBERSON BEERS, 93, of Kailua, Kona, Hawai'i, died June 24, 2004. Born in Fort St. Philip., La. Retired school teacher and guidance counselor. Survived by daughter, Sydney; three grandchildren; sister, Hetty. Celebration of life 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday at The Regency at Hualalai, Hawai'i, 75-181 Hualalai Road, Kailua, Kona. Celebration of life also 4 to 5 p.m. Friday at Kalahikiola Congregational Church, Kohala, Hawai'i; burial of urn to follow. No flowers. Casual attire. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary, Kona.

ERNEST SOUZA CARVALHO, 83, of Honolulu, died May 26, 2004. Born in Honoka'a, Hawai'a. City waste water treatment plant operator. Survived by sons, Ernest Jr., Kenneth and Adrian; brother, Edward; four grandchildren. Visitation 9 a.m. Friday at Borthwick Mortuary; service 11 a.m.; burial to follow at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery. Casual attire.

KIMIYO FORD, 66, of Kailua, died June 21, 2004. Born in Kamakura, Japan. Survived by husband, Bob; son, Douglas; four brothers and sisters. Memorial service 4 p.m. Friday at Honolulu Myohoji Mission. Funeral and burial of ashes in Japan.

MELVYN MORIO HAMAMOTO, 85, of 'Aiea, formerly of Hilo, Hawai'i, died June 5, 2004. Born in Kealia, Kaua'i. Retired state Department of Accounting and General Services painter; and member of 442nd Regimental Combat Team, 522nd Field Artillery Battalion, Service Battery. Survived by wife, Sumie "Sue"; son, Gregg; daughter,Marilyn Tamamoto; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother, Shinichi. Visitation 5 p.m. Friday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary; service 6 p.m. No flowers. Aloha attire.

JAMES TETSUO IKAWA, 61, of 'Aiea, died June 11, 2004. Born in Lahaina, Maui. Retired from EMSS Inc., and as U.S. Coast Guard computer programmer. Survived by brothers, Herbert and Randy; sister, Kazuko Okubo. Visitation 11 a.m. Saturday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary; service noon.

SABRINA LYNN KAPUA, 26, of Waikoloa, Hawai'i, died June 20, 2004. Born in San Jose, Calif. A Wal Mart store stocker. Survived by husband, Robert; daughters, Deanne, Desha, Shannon Jeffries, and Daslyn; mother, Elizabeth Salbora; father, Gary Burton; brother, Matthew Salbora; sister, Linda Salbora; grandmother, Jean Meniktos. MELVIN "MEL" ETSUO MURAKAMI, 58, of Kane'ohe, died June 22, 2004. Born in Pahala, Hawai'i. Retired from Verizon Hawaii; member of Luluku Makule Club. Survived by wife, Aileen; son, Ross; granddaughter, Carys; mother, Hatsume; brothers, Clayton, Herbert, James and Roy; sister, Bernice Nakamura. FRANCISCO PANDARAOAN SELLONA JR., 71, of Waipahu, died June 24, 2004. Born in 'Ewa. Retired Ideal Construction Co. mason.
