Hungry for Hung

 •  Jasmine Trias focused on becoming 'Idol' finalist

It had to happen. "The Best of the Worst," an "American Idol" special from 7 to 8 p.m. today on KHON-2, brings back the most popular of the "Idol" rejects of the season: William Hung.

William Hung
The UC-Berkeley civil engineering student, 21, has agreed to return to the Fox limelight and recreate "She Bangs," as only he knows how.

The special, as host Ryan Seacrest said, brings back the "uncut, uncensored and the untalented."

He's become the poster boy for those who don't make the "Idol" cut, but go figure: he's a media darling. See www.williamhung.net or www.williamhung.reallyrules.com.

Hung could be his generation's Mrs. Miller. Remember the tone-deaf singer who sang "Downtown" and laughed all the way to the bank?
