Radford wins OIA cheerleading title

Radford won its second O'ahu Interscholastic Association varsity cheerleading championship yesterday at Radford gym.

The Rams, who shared the title with Moanalua last season, scored 290 points yesterday. 'Aiea was second with 270, followed by Mililani, Moanalua and Kapolei.

The top eight teams advance to the state championships at the Stan Sheriff Center on March 13.

Moanalua won the OIA junior varsity competition.

Varsity

1, Radford 290; 2, 'Aiea 270; 3, Mililani 265; 4, Moanalua 246.5; 5, Kapolei 243.5; 6, Leilehua 241; 7, Kaiser 234; 8, Pearl City 227; 9, Castle 223; 10, McKinley 214; 11, Kailua 207; 12, Roosevelt 183.

Top eight teams advanced to state tournament.

Junior Varsity

ILH

Kamehameha No. 1: Kamehameha, the two-time National High School Cheerleading champions in the small varsity division, won the Interscholastic League of Honolulu Cheerleading title at Saint Louis on Saturday.

Kamehameha scored 283.5 points, and will be joined by Punahou (256) and Iolani (239) in the state cheerleading competition.

Kamehameha is the defending state champion in the larger division, while Moanalua is the defending champion in the medium division.

Division II
