Tonight's Must-See

"American Idol," 7:30 p.m., Fox. Now we learn if Hawai'i's Jasmine Trias, a senior at Maryknoll School, and one other semifinalist from yesterday were voted into the finals.

"Kingdom Hospital" debut, 8 p.m., ABC. Two horrific stories — one pure fiction, the other based on fact — get this 13-week series off to a powerful start. The fictional tale involves an 1869 mill fire that killed children working in the basement. The real one was when writer Stephen King was hit by a van while jogging on a Maine road.

Of Note

"Secrets of the Dead," 8 p.m., PBS. In 1918, a flu epidemic swept across the world. In America, this film says, it killed 675,000 people; worldwide, the estimate is 20 million to 40 million. This documentary looks at what made the flu bug so deadly.

"King of Queens," 8 p.m., CBS. Doug is still carrying a grudge against a guy from junior high.

"Great Performances: Concert For George," 9 p.m., PBS. Rock greats gather for a concert dedicated to the late George Harrison.
