Reyes' 10 3-pointers propel Chaminade

Kashif Reyes scored 32 points, hitting 10 of 15 3-point attempts, as Chaminade routed Hawai'i Pacific, 101-77, last night in a Pacific West Conference men's basketball game at Blaisdell Arena.

Nick Frey added 18 points and Sam Henning contributed 13 rebounds and 10 points for the Silverswords (10-14, 7-7 PacWest).

Chaminade hit 19 of 33 shots (57.6 percent) in surging to a 49-33 lead at the half.

The Silverswords finished shooting 49.3 percent from the field (35 of 71), including 57.1 percent (16 for 28) from 3-point range.

Aaron Abrams scored 23 points, Dante Sykes added 20 and Audrius Peciukas had 12 points and 12 rebounds for HPU (9-16, 6-8 PacWest).

In other PacWest news, Brigham Young-Hawai'i remained in second place for the West Region in the NCAA II Regional Poll released yesterday.

The Seasiders (21-5, 11-3) won their third consecutive PacWest title and earned the automatic bid to the NCAA regional tournament March 12-15.

BYUH is ranked first nationally in field-goal percentage (52.8) and 21st in free-throw percentage (74.4). The team also ranks 26th in 3-point percentage (39.6).
