How Hawai'i hotels are faring

With high season at its peak, O'ahu continued to lead all islands in hotel occupancy with a 16.2 percent gain above prior year to 82.3 percent for the week ended Feb. 28, 2004, according to the latest weekly hotel report released by Hospitality Advisors LLC. O'ahu's average daily rate also increased by 4.7 percent to $124.86 for the week. A 4.1 percent increase in visitor arrivals lifted Statewide hotel occupancy up by 12.1 percent to 79.7 percent for the week.
