Mahalo for insight from community

Advertiser Staff

From high tech, its promise and its problems, through higher education and the role of the University of Hawai'i, our latest Advertiser Community Editorial Board had a stimulating five-week session with members of the regular editorial board.

Our most recent members were:

• Hank Chapin, semi-retired professor of English at UH-West O'ahu and a part-time actor, most recently appearing as Gov. Judd in Kumu Kahua Theater's "Massie/Kahahawai."

• Ann Chung, executive director of the Hawai'i Technology Trade Association.

• Kate Diggle, a former photograph curator at the USS Arizona Memorial, now in private consulting.

• Derl Green, a longtime resident of Honolulu, an active cosmetologist and member of several community boards and organizations.

• Barbara Ikeda, an active community volunteer with a particular interest in the environment and animal rights.

• David Ushio, head of his own private strategic planning firm in Honolulu and former lobbyist and organizer for civil rights organizations in Washington, D.C.
