Cash to teach at adult, youth tennis camps

Former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash and coach Gavin Hopper are returning to Hawai'i for two junior tennis camps and a week-long adult tennis fantasy camp, March 22-27 at the Central O'ahu Regional Park Tennis Complex.
Cash and Hopper work extensively on-court with all attendees. Their training involves drills and sports science.

The first junior camp is designed for high-performance players 15 and older from March 22 to 24. The second camp is for players 14 and younger from March 25 to 27.
Each camp is limited to 30. Cost is $375 for foundation members and $400 for others.
The adult fantasy camp will be March 22 to 26, from 5 to 7 p.m., with an awards banquet March 27. Cost is $450 for foundation members and $500 for others.

Free clinics: The Hawaii-Pacific Tennis Foundation will host a series of free tennis clinics at the Schofield courts during Schofield's Tennis in the Park on March 20 and 21.
The event is noon to 6 p.m. on four courts. There will be clinics for adults and juniors, a ball machine and a tennis aerobics class.

SAILING
UH women second: The University of Hawai'i placed second at the University of South Florida Women's Intersectional, which ended Sunday at Miami.
College of Charleston won with a meet-low 61 points. UH finished with 78 points, including 47 by Jennifer Warnock and Shandy Buckley in the A division.
UH's Renee DeCurtis, Barbara Clausen and Cassandra Harris scored 31 points, the low score in the B division. They had six first-place race finishes.
SOFTBALL
BYUH drops doubleheader: Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.) defeated BYUH, 7-5 and 2-0, at BYUH field in La'ie yesterday.
The Seasiders lost the first game despite out-hitting the Sea Lions, 13-12. Shea Seever, Amanda Nino and Mandy Kirkham each had three hits for BYUH.
In the second game, Kelly Kalish pitched a four-hit shutout, striking out four and walking none.
Point Loma is 7-9. BYUH is 7-10.
