Kailua senior goalkeeper Johnalynn Ilae earned OIA Eastern Division first-team honors last year in her first season playing soccer — ever.

She topped that this season, earning Player of the Year honors after allowing one goal in 10 regular-season games for the Surfriders.

Ilae is joined by Kailua midfielder Ona Byers and defender Marisa Yamada on the first team.

Kalaheo, Kaiser, Kahuku and Castle had two selections each.

The forward duo of Tina Garcia and Anela Gonzales were selected for the Mustangs, after scoring nine and six goals, respectively.

Kaiser selections were midfielder Jana Yoshino and defender Jennifer Ho; forward Marino Barbosa and midfielder Tiana Ahue were picks for the Red Raiders; and midfielder Aimee Watanabe — last year's Player of the Year who led the East this season with 10 goals — and defender Lovey Walker were selected for the Knights, the OIA East Champions.

Moanalua defender Kari Egami rounds out the first team.

Seven from last year's first team were repeat selections: Garcia, Gonzales, Yoshino, Watanabe, Walker, Yamada and Ilae.

Kailua coach Wil Kimura was named the Coach of the Year after leading the Surfriders (7-1-2) to second place in the OIA East.
