Van hits 'Aina Haina bicyclist

A van hit a bicyclist at 6 p.m. yesterday at Kalaniana'ole Highway and East Hind Drive. The cyclist, whose age was estimated at 80 by emergency workers, was in the intersection when he was hit, police said.

He was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in serious to critical condition. Town-bound traffic on the highway was rerouted to East Hind Drive after the accident.
