Forum to discuss possible strike
The Associated Students at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa will hold a forum in the Campus Center courtyard at noon today to discuss the possible faculty strike, which could begin April 5.
The ASUH, which represents 12,000 students, has invited members of the faculty, union and administration to answer questions about what the strike would mean to students.
The University of Hawai'i Professional Assembly announced its intention to strike on Feb. 23, but there has not been any public discussion on how a strike would affect the students, according to the ASUH.
Speakers will give a brief overview of their positions on the strike, and then questions from the audience will be taken.
