How Hawai'i hotels are faring

Hotels on Maui topped island occupancy at 81.9 percent with an 8.3 percent increase for the week ended Saturday, according to the latest weekly Hawai'i hotel report released by Hospitality Advisors LLC. O'ahu hotel properties followed closely behind at 81.0 percent occupancy for a 16.0 percent gain above the prior year. Statewide hotel occupancy enjoyed a 10.4 percent increase to 78.4 percent for the week.
