Aloha closing 2 ticket sites

Aloha Airlines will close its ticket counters in the Sears stores at Pearlridge Center and Windward Mall at the end of the month. The employees at the two sites will be reassigned.

Airline spokesman Stu Glauberman said a decline in paper-ticket sales led to the closures. The ticket counter in the Sears store in Ala Moana Center will remain open.



Health insurer oversight ends

University Health Alliance was released from state supervision this week after regaining financial health.

Circuit Court Judge Elizabeth Eden Hifo ordered the change in status.

The company was under regulatory scrutiny since July 2001 after failing to meet state financial requirements for health insurers.

In the first nine months of 2003, the insurer reported profits of $3.8 million. Its reserve stood at $5.6 million.
