Four UH men’s volleyball players suspended

Advertiser Staff

Four players, including three starters, for the fifth-ranked University of Hawai'i men’s volleyball team have been suspended for this week’s matches against top-ranked Brigham Young.

Outside hitters Delano Thomas, Pedro Azenha and Jose Delgado, and reserve Dio Dante have been suspended by head coach Mike Wilton for violating team rules, according to a UH press release.

"They are suspended for breaking team rules," Wilton said in the press release. "And they could return as soon as March 22, but the ball is in their court."

According to Wilton, the players must meet stipulations before reinstatement can occur.
