To bus and serve
Former waiter Ray Ancheta isn't as quick as he used to be when it comes to serving restaurant patrons, but he tries year after year.
Ancheta, captain of the Honolulu Police Department's specialized services division, will be among dozens of officers participating in the annual Tip-A-Cop fund-raiser March 17 at participating Ward restaurants.
The officers will pick up trays, for tips that will go to Special Olympics Hawai'i. Officers donning special aprons will be on the job 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. such restaurants as Brew Moon, Old Spaghetti Factory, Ryan's Grill and Buca Di Beppo.
