The partners will hold an training workshop and open house from noon to 3 p.m. March 27 at Central Union Church, 1660 S. Beretania St. Call 220-8686.
Work on bridge to slow traffic
Traffic will be slow on the Sand Island Bridge for several days while workers repair a metal grating on the town-bound lanes. The lanes leading to Sand Island will be set up to allow traffic in both directions, state transportation officials said.
There has been little recreational traffic since a major sewer line ruptured last week, engulfing the area in a foul stench and contaminating surrounding water and sand.
