Waimea schools to be open Wednesday

Waimea Elementary School and Waimea Middle Public Charter School will be open as usual on Wednesday for students and staff, the state Department of Education said today.The schools had been closed because of a water main break that affected the school’s water supply.
Reports that the schools would remain closed until Thursday were incorrect, the DOE said.
Kanu 'o Ka 'Aina Public Charter School is on spring recess and will continue to be closed.
