Garcia honored: Hawai'i Pacific first baseman Holly Garcia, who hit .615 in four games last week, was named the Pacific West Conference softball Player of the Week yesterday.

Garcia, a senior from 'Ewa Beach, was 8 for 13, including a two-run homer, double and four RBIs. She also scored two runs and stole a base. Garcia tied the school career record with her 11th homer.
