Boy questioned in golf break-inPolice investigating last weekend's vandalism at BayView Golf Park in Kane'ohe yesterday questioned a 15-year-old boy.
Since Monday, investigators have questioned three boys. Police suspect at least five people broke into a storage barn and took 19 golf carts onto the course, seriously damaging all of them. The break-in occurred sometime between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday.
Investigators believe the group had been partying earlier and are trying to determine a location. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective John McCarthy of the Windward O'ahu burglary/theft unit at 262-6555 or CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on a cellular phone.
Man struck by car in Kane'ohe
A pedestrian was struck by a car today near a bus stop on Kamehameha Highway in Kane'ohe.
The man, 25, was taken to The Queen's Medical Center with serious injuries, said Derrick Young, acting assistant chief of operations for Emergency Medical Services.
The accident near Fabric Mart at 45-681 Kamehameha Highway was reported to police at 7 a.m.
