UH’s NIT game on Monday sold out

Advertiser Staff

For the first time in two years, the University of Hawai'i men’s basketball team will play in a sold-out Stan Sheriff Center on Monday.

All remaining tickets for Hawai'i’s game against Nebraska were sold today. Monday’s game, which is scheduled to start at 6:05 p.m., is a second round game in the National Invitation Tournament.

"That means the fans are recognizing that they like this team and they want to watch it one more time," Hawai'i head coach Riley Wallace said. "Now let’s hope we can go out and beat Nebraska."

Capacity at the Stan Sheriff Center is listed at 10,300.

It is Hawai'i’s first home sellout since Feb. 21, 2002, when the ’Bows played Tulsa for first place in the Western Athletic Conference.

The game will be televised live on Oceanic Cable, channel 16.
