Weddings

Patricia Alvarez, daughter of Maria Dominguez of El Paso, Texas, and Jason Aaron Rakestraw, son of John and Darlene Rakestraw of Dallas, were married Feb. 29 in Waikiki. The bride is now Patricia Rakestraw. The couple and the bride's son, Ernesto Alvarez Jr., 8, live in Waipahu.

Dr. Tracy Michiko Kondo, daughter of Norman and Gail Kondo of Springfield, Va., and Terence J. Yukio Higuchi, son of Edward and Joan Higuchi of Honolulu, were married Oct. 15 in Springfield. The reception followed at the Fairview Park Marriott Hotel. The bride ('91 West Springfield High/'95 University of Virginia doctor's), now Dr. Tracy M. Higuchi, is a doctor of optometry. The groom ('92 Iolani High/Otis College of Art and Design bachelor's) is a toy designer. The couple lives in Los Angeles.

Shirley Imperio Ramos and Estan Cortez Raganit Reynon Jr. were married Nov. 22 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, where the reception followed. The bride (University of Hawai'i) is now Shirley I. Ramos-Reynon. The groom also attended the University of Hawai'i. The couple lives in Waipahu.
