Maeda's eight RBIs lift Kaiser to 17-4 win

Jarryd Maeda hit a grand slam and two doubles, and drove in eight runs as host Kaiser clobbered Kahuku, 17-4, yesterday in an O'ahu Interscholastic Association baseball game.

Neale Asato, Colby Ho and Nyles Nakama each had two hits for the Cougars.

Poncianu Brownson had two of Kahuku's five hits.

Wai'anae wins by forfeit: Because of injuries and illness, Waialua was not able to field a team and forfeited the game.

Two games postponed: Two OIA baseball game were postponed because of the weather and will be made up today. Mililani plays at Waipahu and Kailua is at Castle. Both games are scheduled to start at 4 p.m.

OIA BASKETBALL

Tereva Moore scored 11 points, including the game-winning jumper as time expired, rallying Radford to a 32-31 victory over host Leilehua last night in an O'ahu Interscholastic Association girls basketball game.

Jenna Johnson-Endo scored six of her nine points in the fourth quarter, when the Rams outscored the Mules 13-7.

Brittaney Stafford scored 10 points and Laree Rodriguez and Pikake-Nutter Gaudet each added nine for Leilehua.
